Good Evening Mustang Families,

We hope that you and your family enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend despite the rainy weather and had an opportunity to relax and recharge. As we enter the final two weeks of the school year, we are excited for the many celebrations and end-of-year activities ahead for our students. This week will be a busy and exciting one, with grade-level trips, the 6th & 7th Grade Sneaker Ball, and preparations for upcoming awards assemblies and end-of-year events.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Please take a few moments to review this week’s updates, upcoming events, and important reminders. We look forward to another great week at McCullough Middle School!

Week of 5/25 Exploratory Schedule

  • Monday, May 25th: Memorial Day (No School)
  • Tuesday, May 26th B Day

  • Wednesday, May 27th: A Day

  • Thursday, May 28th B Day

  • Friday, May 29th: A Day

Got Goals Parent Meeting Change of Plans & End of Year Awards Assemblies

Due to the large number of families who will already be visiting McCullough over the next week for our end-of-year grade-level awards assemblies, we will now share our McCullough’s Got Goals student achievement and assessment updates during each awards assembly.

Families will have an opportunity to review and celebrate student growth and achievement as we close out the school year and reports will be sent home with each student. All families whose students will be receiving an award during the assembly were notified by letter from their grade-level administrator. Please continue to save the date for your child’s grade-level awards assembly and look for additional details from the school.

Yearbook Update

The 2025–2026 McCullough yearbooks have officially arrived and have been distributed to students! We currently have approximately 15 extra copies remaining for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to purchase a yearbook, please submit your cash payment to Ms. Rudolph or Ms. Parker as soon as possible. Once these remaining copies are sold, no additional yearbooks will be available.

6th & 7th Grade Sneaker Ball Dance

Our 6th & 7th Grade Sneaker Ball is almost here! The event will take place this Thursday, May 28th at McCullough Middle School, and we are excited for an evening of music, fun, and Mustang memories. Due to continued interest, ticket sales have been extended through Wednesday, May 27th, giving students one final opportunity to purchase tickets. We look forward to celebrating with our Mustangs at this special end-of-year event!

DIAA Sports Physicals – 2026–2027 School Year

Families of student-athletes, please note that a completed DIAA physical (dated on or after April 1, 2026) is required for participation in any sports or tryouts for the 2026–2027 school year. Registration is now open, and families are encouraged to complete this process early to ensure students are ready for upcoming athletic opportunities. Physicals can be completed through the Nemours School-Based Wellness Center at McCullough. Please see the flyer below for additional details, including how to register.

Reminder – Cellphone and Electronic Device Policy
We will be continuing with hallway sweeps for cellphones and electronic devices. Please remind your students of MCC’s cellphone policy: all phones and accessories should be stored away and not visible throughout the entire school day. Thank you for helping us maintain a focused and distraction-free learning environment.

Infinite Campus & Report Cards Update

Beginning this marking period, report cards for students in grades 6–12 will only be available through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and will no longer be sent home. Final grades will be available by June 18, 2026. Families can access grades, attendance, transportation information, and more through the portal or mobile app. If you do not yet have an account, access code instructions are emailed every Thursday. For additional information or support with creating/accessing your account, please visit: https://www.colonialschooldistrict.org/families-students/infinite-campus or complete the support form at https://form.jotform.com/252254619385059.

Let's have an amazing week as a school community, and remember MUSTANGS RUN TOGETHER!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Hyacinth Lewis, Principal
